Monday Mix: Winter Wasteland

When is winter over again?

As a West Coast lady living on the East Coast, I'm brutally incompatible with winter. I’ll find myself hugging my friends goodbye and saying things like, “Gee, I really hope we see eachother again soon, but ya know who knows when…” It’s easy to make excuses for why you can’t do things that were previously staples of your weeks, like going the gym or shows. Even when you know in the long term, these are the kind of things that can pull you out of an icy gloom. It’s easy to be a shitty friend and not show up for things. It’s easy to be late to work when getting out of bed just became that much harder. And by all means, do this so long as it’s good for you. Rest up, rejuvenate, be comfy. And when you’re ready, listen to this mix to remind yourself that just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean the world has stopped. And invest in some Vitamin D pills, seriously. These gray skies aren’t going anywhere for a while.
