Stream: Whatever, Dad - 100% Take Home!

Mt. Home Arts gives us an inside look at two of their latest releases:
Whatever, Dad's newest cassette and Megan Manowitz's zine Soft Openings.

Whatever, Dad is no stranger to our site (exhibit A, B, and C). If you find yourself unfamiliar, it is the incredibly underrated project of SUNY Purchase's Elaiza Santos that will melt your insides like a mega lullaby. 100% Take Home! (her newest album) graced our ears last year but today we're excited to share a new take on the album which rocks on a totally new level. One of our favorite DIY labels, Mt. Home Arts, will be releasing the new tape that comes in a take-out box stuffed with goodies (wowie!), all with artwork by Elaiza. Some of the contents include: a napkin, a stick of butter, a handmade pin, a mini-mini book, and of course, the cassette. And to make things even more exciting, the label is hiding five golden tickets (Willy Wonka anyone?) in five random boxes. If you are lucky enough to get one, you can redeem it for an extra treat.

Stream the tape below and (if you're in New York) come to the tape's release party tonight at The Silent Barn. The show also serves the dual-purpose of celebrating the release of Megan Manowitz's new zine Soft Openings, a document of self-expression via social media. As pictured below, the hand-bound zine features a fuzzy cover and is accompanied by a silkscreen print and sticker.
