Zine: You're a Pain in the Ass

The title of this zine says it all.

We love zines of all shapes and sizes, but can especially appreciate those that don't take themselves too seriously. With a name like You're A Pain In The Ass, we have no choice but to fall head over heels in love with Wanda Gogusey and Roca Balboa's first collaborative zine. The little yellow booklet is around 20 pages filled with black and white illustration and witty one-liners about the kinds of guys they don't like. Guys who get upset when they lose at video games against you, guys who touch your butt like it's okay, guys who dump you saying you're fucking cool, the list goes on. It's a good read if you're feeling angsty about dudes or if you're snowed into your apartment (for me it was the latter). Not only is the copy on each page hilarious, but the images that accompanies them are wonderfully dark and just as funny. The gruesome picture of a boy's head sliced in half that grazes the cover is just the beginning – inside you will find doodles of a medusa-looking lady chasing a lad with a giant pair of scissors, a portrait of woman breastfeeding a full grown man, a lizard dude throwing up a sludge-like substance, and many other delightfully horrifying images that will make you laugh and cry:
