Monday Mix: Mysteries

A Monday Mix for all the little mysteries.

If you've never read "Chariots of the Gods? Unsolved Mysteries of the Past" by Erich von Daniken, please let me be the first to tell you that you are missing out. In short, the book hypothesizes that perhaps, just perhaps, the religions and technologies of the world's ancient civilizations were shown to them by "ancient astronauts" (colloquially known as "aliens") who visited the ancient peoples as a means to instruct them on the proper way to build the Pyramids or Stonehenge. While I was moving a few weeks ago, I re-discovered the book on my shelf and decided that moving could wait another hour or two and dove back in to all of von Daniken's strange and fantastic ideas.

Lately, I've been obsessing over the mysteries and secrets that seem to surround me everyday. Not only the far out, science fiction style mysteries of the past but my own personal mysteries. There are so many things out there that I just can't seem to find an answer for. Whether it's as simple as why I personally make the decisions I do, how I can possibly get done everything I need to before tour starts in October, or why I said or did that when I swear I didn't mean to, I'm drowning in mysteries right now. The songs on this mix have been my personal soundtrack during these times filled with oddities and contemplation and I'm ready to share them with you now.
